God of War II is awesome! I see many people on forums asking, is it worth the money. If you enjoyed the first God of War, then I think you will enjoy this God of War. I am not that far into it, and I love it even though Dax has had to help me several times.

These next few post are all apart of one story, I just figured I would break them up, because it’s such a long story. I apologize ahead of time for any grammatical errors. My wonderful loving husband has pointed out to me several times that I have many grammatical erros in my post

Dax and I have been so busy with moving into the new house, and unpacking that I really haven’t had time to sit down and put some thought into blogging. We recently moved from our apartment into a 4 bedroom house. Our apartment complex management decided to turn our so called, “luxury apartments” into student housing. Mix that with neighbors who could give 2 shits about anyone but themselves, and a manager that can’t get his head out of his ass; pretty much forced us to find another place to live. It all started when we first moved into our apartment, the boy downstairs played saxophone along with his mother; not only did they play loud, they also turned up their stereo to go along with it. Dax tried numerous times to start a dialog with the mother to see if we could reach some sort of agreement on when he or she was playing, but they wouldn’t even answer their door. If we tried knocking they played louder. So we called police several times and reported it to our property manager. One day it was so loud that Dax decided to have the manager come and listen. You could hear the noise before you even got close the building. The apartment manager requested a sit down with her; they explained to her that saxophone playing had to stop and that if she wanted, she could have a key to the party house next to the pool for her practicing. She refused and later moved out. Shortly after that, there was a property management change. The assistant manager was somehow promoted to manager, and our previous manager moved out to sister property.

A couple of weeks went by, and then we had these 2 guys move in diagonal and downstairs from us. We noticed that they came and went all hours of the night, and they had some pretty shady looking people coming and going from their apartment. They later introduce themselves to Dax as being management for several strip clubs. Now the first problem that we started to have with them is that they leave their trash by the door for days. We’re not supposed to leave our trash out by the door, another thing is that, every time they have people over the next day there was always trash in the parking lot. These things may not seem like a big deal but when you pay $1200.00 a month for a so called luxury apartment you expect more.

We also had problems with our neighbors in the building next to us also. There was a neighbor downstairs and one directly across from our apartment. One night the downstairs neighbor was out on his patio with a group of friends on a work night, having a good time. Around 2:00 AM we were under the impression that they were not aware that their voices were traveling into our bedroom. Dax asked them several times to please try and keep it down. They refused. Dax called the cops. The cop came out an hour later, and did nothing. He chatted with them for awhile and them came up to us and told us basically to deal with it because there is no such thing as a noise ordinance for people in apartments. I was extremely upset and expressed to him in so many words that; it was no wonder that the murder rate in was so high Jacksonville. People just don’t give a damn about other people any more.

Fast Forward to later. When we got back from Costa Rica our downstairs neighbor who runs several clubs told us that we had some sorority girls move in under us while we gone. He said that, they had been running around in the parking lot late at night spanking each other and having big party. Now we had to listen to their TV, stereo, doors slamming (which by the way shook are entire apartment), men screaming and yelling obscenities, along with them dealing drugs right outside our apartment, and playing beer pong all night long on their patio. We went to our manager many many times to complain. He assured us that he had spoken with them. After the beer pong incident that left their patio in blatant violation of the community rules, Dax had the manager, and assistant manager look at their patio to confirm we were not just trying to be a nuisance. They had cups and beer bottles everywhere along with a shopping cart they stole from Publix and a propane tank that was hooked up to their grill, that they were told several times to disconnect and store in a safe area. For once it seemed that the apartment manager agreed and maybe even empathized with us. He gave us the option to move out no penalties. In between all of this hoopla, our other neighbor in the building next to us directly across from our bedroom started to stay out on her patio as well yelling and partying it up with friends. Dax asked them to please keep it down, they told him to F*off. After missing a couple days of work Dax decided to board up our bedroom window. We also went as far as to buy ear plugs. When things didn’t get any better I went to the manager again, he again offered the move out with no penalty; I told him that, I felt like we were being put out. He told me that we were violating our neighbors right by constantly calling the police (side note, the manager had told us earlier when we first started to report this, that we were not to ever knock on our neighbors door downstairs to ask them to keep it down, and if we did we would receive a 7 day to cure) The manager then said he would try to talk to the girls to see if maybe they would move to another apartment, I told him that would be fine but if nothing was done we still like the option to find another place with out penalty of breaking our lease. He seemed to understand and said he would contact me later that evening to let me know what the status was.

Two weeks had gone by and the manager still had not contacted me back. We were at our wits end with no sleep, peace or response from our apartments we decided to start looking for a new place. We searched for a couple of weeks and found a wonderful house for rent, we submitted our application, and deposit. We felt better about our situation, until I received a call from the rental agent telling me that there was a problem. The problem wasn’t with our credit it, No it was with our rental history from the apartment manager. The rental company had sent a fax requesting some information. The fax asked our apartments if we had paid on time, if they would rent to us again and what condition were we leaving our apartment in. The manager put that we would be breaking our lease and would have to pay 2 months to get out of our lease and that our apartment was in fair condition and if that we paid them the penalties that we would be accepted back into the apartment complex. My heart sank, when I heard this news. The rental agent told me that they would not be able to rent to us unless we had proof that we paid the fees. I hadn’t planned on paying any penalties per my conversation with the manager, now it seemed that he was going back on his word. Dax confronted the manager, he said that the girls had planned to move to another apartment within the community and that is why we would have to pay the 2 month penalty. I was at a loss for words when Dax repeated this back to me, the manager never even contacted us back to let us know what was going on.

I called our apartment complex and requested every complaint that me made along with a copy of or lease agreement to be placed on our door and fax to me to my personal fax at work. At first they said they would send it to me. A couple of hours passed and I still hadn’t received the fax. So I called the office back and that’s when the manager told me that he was now refusing to fax it to me but we could pick it up in the office. So I told him fine, Dax would be by after work to pick it up. Of course when Dax went by they refused to give us anything in our file besides a copy of our lease agreement. I talked to our rental agent and explained to everything to her. She checked with her boss and told me that if we could provide evidence of a the police reports then we could bypass having to prove that we paid the 2 months rent, she even suggested that we seek an attorney because they broke their end of the lease agreement by not allowing us the right to live in a peaceful community even after we had reported it to them several times. We were able to obtain a copy of a of all the time we had called into the police station and filed a noise complaint report. The rental agent told us that we were in! We still ended up paying our apartments the 2 months rent just to be safe. It has been over a month and those girls below us still haven’t moved out. I think that we should be able to get at least one months rent back.
So, we’re still in the process of getting settled in. We’re starting to get back into our normal routine of walking at night after work, and soon we will be able to workout more now that we are actually getting a full nights rest.

I received a phone call at work today from my mother. Someone had broken into my grandmother’s house! From what I understand they came through the back and chained lock the front door. The police think the thieves were on foot, because they only took jewelry. They didn’t leave much behind for the police to pick up on, but I really hope they find whoever did this.

I was one of the many who purchased Crackdown for the Halo3 Beta only. The game sat on my shelve for at least 2 weeks before I popped it into my 360. I had just started to explore the game, when I was immediately hit with a game request from one of my friends to join in. Unfortunately something was wrong with either my connection or the servers, because the game kept locking up. So I decided to play solo for the night. The game has kind of a Grand Theft Auto feel to it, except you’re a super cop or agent. One of the great things about the game is that you can build your character up by doing things like collecting agility orbs or running over gang members with your car. Once you have built your character up you can do things like, leap from building to building and transform your agent car. I really enjoyed beating, shooting and turning gang members into road kill. One of the downfalls that I can think of about this game is that at times it seems repetitive. I really look forward to playing co-op soon.
