Have you ever had a vision for a project, work or home, and you put every ounce of energy you could into completing this project to make it the best result you could imagine, and once one other resource becomes involved you slowly watch your “masterpiece” turn into a cluster?
And after the initial cluster you accept that there is a different resource invloved, and you try to remember to compromise. Then something else happens to deminish the “greatness” of your project. And then again…and again…and again.
You start going through cycles: first of disbeleif, then of confusion due to the lack of workmanship by others, then to a minor blowup, then to utter disbeleif, then to an almost major blowup, then a small period of acceptence, then a huge blowup, follwed be a period of reflection as to which of the two paths you should should (fight or flight), then you reevaluate what is important, then a state of being deliriously accepting.
Things don’t ALWAYS have to be this way. Humility on each side can make everything go much smoother and much more productive.
If you have blood in your veins you WILL make a mistake.
The lesson here, when you aren’t happy with how others don’t see your vision, take another look at your vision and take a mental snapshot, that may be the only time you will ever see your vision again. ^_^
